Department of Electronics and Intelligent System

Introduction

What can you study?

The Department of Electronics and Intelligent Systems has reinforced the education ・research systems of three courses, Intelligent Systems, Intelligent Sensing and Intelligent Device as a new academic system that forms the current engineering basis. It presents to students the three models as a studying goal in the curriculum with liberal arts and major subjects cuneiformed. These models will help students think about their future.

Introduction of courses

[ Intelligent Systems Course ]

Students can study the specialized knowledge of electronics and mechatronics unified with computers such as built-in computers or robotic technology.

[ Intelligent Sensing Course ]

Students can study a wide range of specialized knowledge including the fusing area between optics and bio-technology and electronics regarding electronic instrument control and electronic measuring techniques.

[ Intelligent Device Course ]

Students can study the specialized knowledge ranging from the principles and structures and materials of various semi-conductor devices to integrated circuit technique of LSI or microcomputers.

We educate students focusing mainly on rearing “Electronics and Intelligent Systems Engineers” who are specialized in both hardware and software technologies with a wide range of practical specialized knowledge in these three courses and a broad view and insight bolstered by the three- course studies. In order to achieve these goals we provide various motivational education from the first year—Japanese for engineers as a liberal art, Journey to mathematics, physics and chemistry as introductory subjects. Off-campus orientation gives students the knowledge for study and life at the university and guidance. And in small-sized, seminar-styled education each year, students can promote mutual communication with other students, teachers, students in different grades or alumni. This helps foster the quality that is needed when they enter the working world. Graduation study in the laboratory in the fourth year is where the students integrate all the knowledge they acquired through seminars or experiments. It is also a good opportunity for students to foster the ability to find and solve problems and cultivate creativity and pioneering ability. Regarding their courses after graduation, we encourage them to go to graduate school, support them to get qualifications and give them intensive career-support for a 100% employment rate goal.
