Department of Information and Communication Engineering
Communication engineers have pioneered the fields of communication, computers, and electronics. Their work is used every sector of modern society. With this increasing use comes an ever greater demand for persons who understand the design, construction, operation, and application of communication engineering technology.
The Department of Communications Engineering seeksto attract students who exhibit logical thinking, creativity, curiosity, imagination, persistence, and patience; as well, students who have proved their academic excellence in mathematics, physics, and English. At the undergraduatelevel, fundamental theory and laboratory work in electrical circuits, electronics, computers, programming, etc. are required of all students. Electives are available in a variety of areas such as radio communication engineering, cable communicationengineering, audio engineering, laser engineering, computer engineering, energy engineering, instrumentation, controls, and optoelectronics engineering.
n their third year, students will choose either the"Communication Course" or "Information Course" to further their area of specialization. Students who want to study communication technology further take the "Communication Course." Students who want to study computer technology further take the "Information Course."
